Ive had it for about 2 years now. Progress is a little slow moving along as funds become available. Im going with manual steering and brakes for both feel and room for the big block. I managed to score a police certified 125mph speedometer and oil pressure gauge, NOS taillamp lenses and parking light lenses. Also got a Pete Jackson gear drive for the 383. Going with the slotted police car wheels to give it a semi-stock look. :party5:

I may kick myself later for it but I went with the manual brakes for a little cleaner look and better feel. I got a booster setup just in case I want to change my mind. With the low deck 383 there is enough room to run the power steering and the brakes (or so I hear anyway). Just wanted to go with something a little different. (also got a cop car firm power steering box just in case). Thanks for the info though(y)

I went with manual discs on both my trucks, and works fine for me. Did have a friend drive one once and said he thought it took awhile to stop, but he is used to his 2004 car with 4 wheel discs and who knows what else helping it slow down.

Sorry havent been on here much lately. Been busy getting married and getting my own place. I live about an hours drive away from where my wagon is so it takes a bit to go tinker with it. I did get some better sheetmetal put in for the floor pan and the inner fender. Actually got a good 440 to drop in there too:wave:

Thanks guys. I got a friend that may let me keep it in his garage which is only about 15 minutes away. Would make it a lot easier to go tinker on it

By the looks manual brakes was the easiest solution. Nice work.
