This was a waste of time! Just a bunch of garbage! But a good idea. Early garbage trucks, like early garbage men, are long gone and forgotten. Still what a mess things would be without them. I'm so old I still remember the old guy, the old horse wearing blinders, and the old wagon passing down our alley and the city streets picking up trash and leaving a trail of exhaust fumes. After that an old truck, probably a one ton Model T, replacing that poor humpbacked horse and humpbacked garbage man!
"I didn't mean the Enterprise should be hauling garbage; I meant the Enterprise should be hauled away, as garbage!" One of my favorite scenes from Star Trek. Especially since it goaded Scotty into throwing the first punch.
Never remember seeing Internationals used for such. Clean-styled no-nonsense cab: Don't they still brew a "beer" named Schlitz?
Schlitz made Milwaukee famous, they used to say. I believe it was Harley that did it. Maybe bikers riding Harley's while drinking Schlitz. Those are some nice looking trash trucks.
Well, there was one, a 'scoop,' in Soylent Green. Same cab as this one; I wonder if this one is owned by the Soylent Corporation?
I don't have any idea as to who "Steffan" is. There is a Stefan who is mod, here. A nanny is a generic term for when a nursery school kid gets the nanny to settle a dispute with another child. It's not to say that this missspelled moderator takes a job in some nursery school, as you seem to suspect. Trying to sort through that incoherent sentence you just posted, you seem to say that when others have a complaint, they go to you with it and then you, in turn, report it? Why would they go through you, then, instead of directly complaining, if it's true what you write? Thirdly, how would I be able to edit what you write? Do I have your password? Even if I did, the editor would leave an I.P. adress behind. Getting back to topic (namely, the other garbage), it's been ages, since I've seen a White truck. I forgot that they even existed:
Fall Hershey really is the place to be. I remember a few years back there was a fellow from Joisey had a restored garbage truck in the show and it was really neat. I just had to talk to him....he told me it was his fathers from his business and everything worked - the hydraulics, compactor, etc. I want to say it was a mid 60's Chevy or GMC (think maybe C60).... Going to Hershey you see all kinds of weird wonderful things over the years.
I'd rather go to St. Petersburg and watch the trash getting collected by those wearing comfortable attire:
You are nicer than I am Ivy, the 1st thing that sprang to my mind was refuse haulers pictured with local "trash" But I like your thought better.

This is one of the few threads where none of the images got X'd (yet) I think, I like the one second from left best. The one second from the right would come in second. What're your pageant ranking choices?
