Because, Blackfoot, that, unfortunately, is where most all the good cars are. When I lived out there I couldn't BELIEVE all the perfect old cars driving around...ORIGINAL. Perfect climate for cars. No doubt.

I know, thats sad, coz we will loose them all from the earthquakes and the big one that will make Cali fall into the ocean.

    that climate stuff

It still helps to be more than a mile or so away from the beach,to avoid salt deposits from the ocean air,but yeah, the climate's not so bad for cars. And earthquakes and that Big One they keep talking about, always weigh heavy on the mind, but are not the greatest threat to the survival of nice old cars...It's the poorly maintained road system in the LA area that hurts them the most.So they demand better service from their government,on this matter, the LA Times points out every year, that the citizens of SoCal pay out an average of $1,600 to $2,000 in yearly car maintenance, more than do the rest of the people in California. Most of it in shocks and tires...The part of California that LA is on,is moving North and up,it's not going to fall off.Maybe the beaches part, but not the rest. The coast of California is working real hard to look like the coast of Peru. And Olympia National Park up in Washington.Maybe those BC boys up in Canada can tell us what that's like.
