I've been looking high and low, for plastic, or stainless steel, vent shades to fit my '89 Estate wagon. No joy, even JC whitney let me down. (although they do still carry fuzzy dice and dingle balls...)

Does anybody have a lead on a source, or something that can be made to work? Every thing I've found is way too long for our tiny little doors.

    Thanks for the help,

    Paul

    Sorry.............

We should have at least dropped in and said something....

I've taken off vent shades from a number of vehicles, but I've never purchased any for myself. Unfortunately, my Way Back Machine didn't have them when I bought it - otherwise you could have mine. Just not my thing.....

I'd like to find mounting parts for the earlier 68-72 A-body ones. Have the shades, no clips.

I have not seen any on the later B-body cars, but admittedly have not paid attention. Hate to suggest it, but have you considered getting in touch with guys that derby these cars? I and a buddy with a 75 Estate Wagon have gotten parts from those sources. They may have seen or have some, as they unfortunately cycle thru a lot of cars.

    we-crash is a big forum.

check and see where there are local fairs that have these events, and see if anyone in those areas knows the participants. Ask around at auto parts stores in those communities and at self service wrecking yards, as the yards sometime sponsor drivers and supply cars/parts.
