Let's hope it's that good, fingers crossed. No donuts for me. With all the toys I am buying for it and the wife's car I can't afford new sneakers.

Bob it was from a group buy on the Impala forum. I bought them both for $466.50. But that being said to run the rear since it is so big aftermarket control arms are a must.

So Stick, are you sayin' the bars are so stiff they would warp the stock control arms? Wow.............

Unreal! I'm guessiing that all the old bushings would take a beating with the heavier bar? What about poly replacements or is it just the original stamped metal control arms on the original are to weak?
    The advice is much apprieciated!
I just may have to stay with getting a sedan rear bar for a while.

    BTW
I just got a nice pair of Pontiac GranAm buckets for mine. :yahoo:
One of these days I may even get it back running again. :rofl2:

It is not so much bushings as long as they are in good condition as mine have poly. It is the arms themselves. If you has a stock one in your hands you would realize how filmsy they are. And the way the bar bolts into the arms is also part of that problem as the way that channel slides into the arm and bolts in from the side with the bar bolting to the channel. Aftermarket LCA's are either Billet aluminum or steel tubing. Both are much stiffer.A sedan rear bar will not work with stock LCA's either. Only way it will work is either to get a set of Metco's like mine or weld up the stock arms with repositions holes.

Looky what I just got in the mail. It's a new MegaSquirt II v3.57 with wiring pigtail. I am so excited. I have been looking at their site and some of the info and videos and it seems like this will be a fairly easy conversion. Now I just need to clean up my intake to get it sent off to have the bungs welded on and drilled out for injectors and the fuel rails put on.

Actually I am finding doing EFI with a MegaSquirt is not that expnsive or hard so once we do mine and get it figured out we will be doing her's. But I am looking for a dual quad intake for hers and will run dual TB's with her scoop on top of them. Should be pretty trick. I so can't wait to get started on this mod though. I have to clean up my intake to send off. I need to either get another tank with the fuel pump in it or find out if I can put one in my tank. Then run new fuel and return lines.

With all that, you guys will have to setup a speeding ticket budget! Sounds like the ideal racing team!

What fuel pressure do you need to run? There are external pumps available to use without replacing tanks. Your car may or may not have already had a return line set up. The only thing I've found on my cars that I've done swaps on is sometimes the return line is too small to return fuel fast enough on a performance pump and actually creates fuel pressure. At which point I buy aluminum line from Summit and run a new larger line. Cool build. I like the satin black and red wheels. (y)

Not sure what pressure I will be running yet. I figured since the B-Bodies are all the same I could snag a tank out of a Caprice wagon and then either run the stock pump or upgrade to a better one. My car did have the return line but it and the feed line were both rusted to hell so they both came out, So I will just get some stainless line and run all new. I thought aboout the aluminum but I use my car alot and worry about it being to soft were it might get pierced by a stone or something.

I can see your point, but I don't think its any less durable than the plastic line that the new cars come with. Might get pinched if anything.
