My wife an I purchased the Griz 'bout a year ago and have enjoyed him ever since! I have recently decided to start refurbishing and customizing the Griz, so I am happy to have stumbled onto this website! So, all you WagonHeads out there give me your imput & ideas. I want to stay somewhat conservative/original, but yet unique. I'm not looking for a Tony Stewart customization!! That's way beyond my vision! Cool, but too much for me. Thanks in advance for the input and I'm looking forward to this experience!
Welcome, Griz' Daddy. Lots you can do with these wagons. One of the latest trends for wagon customization is special overlays for the woodgrain area.... Check out this thread on the ImpalaSS forum.... http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=237871 Here's another one... http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=247454 We've got a lot of good advice here, too. Do a search..... There are also some companies that make custom body parts for your GM B-body - hoods, custom bumper covers, etc...... Make it yours... Just don't try to build your own Wagon Queen Family Truckster.
Thanks for your response Krash Kadillak. I chk'd out those sites and really liked the white wagon with the gray paneling but, I think I'm gonna go with a solid color with some sort of personallity design painted in. And no, trust me, no Wagon Queen Family Truckster! I plan on trying to keep him pretty stock on the inside ( maybe a few mods), either perk up the 305 or trans plant another motor. Pls keep the links comin' or let me know where I can look at pics for ideas.
Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I'm working on getting pics of the Griz together to put in my gallery. I'm looking forward to doing alot of chatting and idea swapping.
