This strange, dark film has a brief scene at a train station where an undertaker is picking up a casket and getting ready to put it in his hearse...a black 74-76? Chevrolet clamshell wagon. It appears from the back with it's tailgate and window already open. The movie is directed by Paul Verhoeven, and is considered a prequel to his Basic Instinct(1992).
The Dutch title of this flick is "De vierde man" That wagon is a model year 1976 Impala. (the model year 1976 Caprice came with the rectangluar headlights) Two photos:
I think most Dutch board members have seen this film. The release date was in the early 80's of the last century. Camera work was by Jan de Bont. (Speed) For the whereabouts of that wagon: I have to rent/buy the digital remastered DVD (or old school VHS tape) to check the license plate details in the Dutch DMV data base to see if it's still around. But I don't recall seeing it at car shows in the Netherlands, and nowadays it would stand out because 90% of the hearses at car shows are model year 1977/1990 GM products.
My car was used in a short movie as well. The movie is about 15 minutes and my car is shot from all kinds of angles as the co-star. I don't know how to put YouTube vids on the board but here are the links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhiVBUYtPPk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvrP5cQjNC4 I was one of the rapists as well and I helped out with the lighting and stuff as well. It was a cold but cool weekend filming!
