It sure seems that my wagon runs better on super unleaded. I also think that it will keep my carb cleaner. I think it's worth the extra money. What do you think?

Have you done any Seafoam treatments through the power brake booster vac line?

The seafoam will help get rid of carbon build up,it works just follow the directions on the can.

Also what plugs, wires, dist cap are you running?

The cheap plugs, wires, cap and stuff from chain auto parts stores will help pull down your economy. If you can get the good stuff even if you have to order it from Summit Racing. When I had my Caprice Estate Wagon I put a Eddy 1406 carb on like you did along with AC Delco rapid fire plugs and taylor wires and a Hipo coil picked up a few extra horses and mpg.

If I knew I could I would start a thread on my Doba (Cordoba) but it's not a wagon.

BTW look for a good strong E Fan from the Junkyard that will free up more HP and MPG. I have a Lincoln Mark 8 E fan I plan on putting on my car that will suck your T shirt off if you get too close.

Headers with a H or X pipes Hi Flo Cats and true duals will Help also. Mine has no Cats they were strangled by the last owner.

I see no gains in performance out of either of my wagons running premium over regular. The MPG increase does not make it worth the extra cost either. Some see a big difference, but my cars do not care. Could also be quality of the fuel, or local refinery is 40 miles away and all the stations get the same gas from it, be it one station or another. It all comes out of Oil City, PA for our area. Same for Pennzoil and Quakerstate Oils.

I'll do the seafoam, as you guys have convinced me over the past few months. Right now the wagon is at the body shop getting the rear long windows taken out and rust issues adressed there. Hopefully I can show some pics of the process they do. True duals with no cats are in the near future. I will also try to take all the advise on e fan and summit racing parts. Thanks bros!

Get the Cheap HP first. Then look for that 454 Big Block
