    We have been on vacation in Central Europe for the last 2 1/2 weeks.
    Thought you might appreciate this one.
    I never saw a real, live Trabant wagon before...
    It was parked near the Museum Island in Berlin:

    I see it has the emergency backup transportation attached to the roof rack in preparation of the next break down.

    There's still quite a few of them on the road in Eastern Germany. I saw quite a few Trabbis and Wartburgs on the road when I lived in Dresden. Probably owned by people with a lot of Ostalgie, like me!

    Thanks for posting it!!! Brings back memories of the 2nd trip we took to Germany back in 1991, they were everywere back then, fron causing havoc on the autobans doing 35mph!!! to dead and abandoned all over then West Germany!!!!
