I am looking for a source to replace the peeling woodgrain appliques on the perimeter trim pieces of my '88 Pontiac Safari. The main wood grain panels have held up great, but only so-so on the outer trim.

Also, anyone know a source for the perimeter trim pieces themselves? I am missing one small piece by the front wheelwell. Am I correct in assuming all the '77-90 B-bodies used the same trim?

You're close! In this Woodgrain section, you'll find that you have 2 choices:

    1) Find NOS parts (highly unlikely)
    2) Have them done by specialty shops or do it yourself, like this guy on his Falcon wagon.

The original coatings are base coat, usually tan or light beige, Then, the grain color, then a clear finish.
