Hi been trying to figure out how to remove the chrome trim around my 87 Caprice rear side glass. Is it held on with clips ? Only place on car where there is minor rust.

Yes, plastic clips which after 30 years will be fairly brittle on your wagon. I removed all the trim on my dad;s 86 Buick state Wagon and the easiest way is to use a wide blade flat screwdriver or putty knife and carefully pry and twist until the moldings pop off. Installation is simple, just line them up (remember the trim pieces get inserted into each other like a puzzle and then carefully push them on until you hear a click.

If you snap too many of those clips, they are available on Ebay along with any woodgrain trim clips.

    Good luck!!
