Date on the pics very well good be a oops, my camera shows 2013 and I can't change that. But none the less, the date is 9 years out and no mention of that and it's wearing California license plates. Ad says one owner car and map location is Edson Alberta. I think my first question to seller would be, "Is that your wagon in the ad or a pic taken from the internet?" ........this does seen a bit to good to be true.

kinda on subject.... I'm running a few ads local rite now, in my ads I mention rite from the start 'The date in pic is incorrect, pics taken on _,_, 2014

My friend might be checking this one out for me, he lives in Calgary.

Car is not running and has been sitting 10 years.
Owner thinks this one does not have the dual facing rear seats, he lives few hours away from the car... Does anyone know if these came optional on the Country Squire model?

The DFRS was a model-level change, not an option. you either bought/ordered a '6-passenger' wagon, or a 'DFRS wagon' (This is for the big cars only).

Please do keep us posted:). Not to rain on your parade but this deal is starting to sound more and more like it's to good to be true (doesn't run, sat for 10 years, owner apparently 1 owner doesn't think/know if there are seats in the back???, lives a few hours away from car........). Maybe your friend could take a few pictures and you could post them of the wagons currant condition?

Most important IMO before you have your friend go look, as seller if he has valid papers/registration/title (in his name) on the ready for transfer of ownership.

I may be wrong but this deal just smells bad all around, flake seller.........

The ad says it has whitewalls but the picture has blackwalls. That Squire sure doesn't look like it's been sitting for ten years.
I join all of you in being eager to find out more details.

The seller grabbed a picture off the net.. Do an image search for 1971 LTD wagon..

This pops up right near the top..

I knew the pic was taken from the net and not the actual car, I just never searched for it! Good Job Kev!(y)

Looks like everyone was right; it would have been one heck of a deal if the wagon in the pic was the one for sale. Let the buyer beware, they say.

Good detective work, Kevin! I posted a note on the Car Domain page for the owner.
