Hello! I'm new to Fords and looking for recommendations on parts suppliers for a 56 Ranchwagon.
Looking for body parts, floor pans and braces, etc. Also looking for disc brake kits, lowering kits, performance goodies.
Any thoughts on Jamco, Dearborn Classics, Macs? Good or bad experiences?
Thanks in advance for your help!

That is going to be a fantastic car to enjoy.

There are numerous vendors out there who specialize in FoMoCo.
We have done a 63 Ranchero, a 65 T-Bird and are currently working on a 59 Fairlane Galaxie convertible.
I have ordered stuff from many outfits, including MAC's, Dearborn classic, Larry's Thunderbird etc. I have had good experiences with all of the vendors I have used, when it comes to the easy to find parts.
The issues come when it is a more obscure part. A certain retailer may list it, but when you call to ask about availability they say it's been on back order for 6 months.

Unfortunately even the mainstream cars like the T-Bird aren't as well represented in the aftermarket as say, a Mustang or Tri-Five Chevy. So, you may have to do some searching for some of the things on your list. The parts you need are out there, just not always in the online catalog.

I hope you enjoy restoring your new Ranch Wagon and I hope you are able to find everything you are looking for.
