Hmmm...hadn't given that much thought but if you or anyone finds it offensive, I am more than happy to take the card down. I have had the nickname for some time. I do a lot of hunting and the nick is a testimony to that. One other thing. the gunslinger (Paladin) in that TV show was an ombudsman for the oppressed.
I’m glad you use the handle. Not sure anyone was offended. Just maybe made a comment on today’s society. I think that will be the downfall of this country. Seems like everyone is looking to get offended in this country. Are the Kansas City Chiefs next? There’s not going to be any stopping this. The alligator will eventually eat you last.
Kansas City Chieves have the possibility of ducking behind Gotham City's. More important is the organization of a 24-hour vigil surrounding the offices of the Washington Post. If any entity, these provacateuers are the ones who should be the first in line for a revisionist name change
Keep it till Beto comes. “Damn right I’m gonna take your gun”. Here, have a few extra bullets that go with it.
Oh, I don't find it offensive, I asked the question because 1) you changed your avatar to 'Paladin's' card, and 2) a friend of mine posted a couple things on FB, having to do with "Have Gun, Will Travel."
When I was a kid, TV was black and white...Paladin, Rifleman, Wanted, Dead or Alive, Maverick was the stuff I grew up on. Hunting, golfing, fishing, guitars, photography and classic cars have always been my hobbies. My old CB handle was Paladin and I'd sing part of the theme song when I signed on...I still watch those old shows when ever they come on. Oh yeah...Route 66. Glad to know you were not offended. Paladin
No, I, too, grew up on classic TV, but by the time I was watching, those B&W shows were falling off syndication. Hell, even The Fugitive was gone for two years when I began staring at the idiot box. Funny thing was, Mom had control of the 25" RCA, and us kids had the 1961 GE Commander 1 13" B&W to watch.
I vividly remember Sundays after my dad got a color TV. Disney's "Wonderful World of Color". We'd gather after dinner and watch like there was no tomorrow. Memories.....
Been there, done that. "The Wizard of Oz" and every Christmas, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "Dr. Seuss' The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" on CBS, all in glorious color. Oh, except for Kansas....
We got our first color TV in 1966. Yeah Sunday was the big Disney night. Also remember watching Gilligan’s Island and Bewitched. Loved it cause the Stephens had an artesian Turquoise ‘66 Impala wagon just like ours. Yes many happy memories!
Anyway, Paladin, since you're obviously around the Houston area or so, out of all the yards in Houston, do any cater to owners of 25-and-older-year cars and trucks?
Who would have thought that almost the entire second page of this thread would become victim of vintage television hijacking
