A lot of damage on the passenger side, but overall pretty solid. I would say $2000.00 would be a good start. It appears that this car may have a case of sit-itis. Is this a "make an offer" car?

I'm not sure that's damage. If you search the gallery here, a lot of them have kind of a funny body shape. Also, it's hard to imagine that much bending without a lot of scraping to go with it.

It does sound kind of like make an offer.

You know it may just be a trick of the light with the body line, I think you're right. Are you checking this one out?

The body line on the side takes a downward turn in the middle of the rear door. Here's a better pic...

After looking at the photo from Krash, I don't think there's damage on the one for sale. The question is whether that model was any good in the first place. Actually, the condition looks pretty good overall. Although it definitely looks like it may have been sitting for awhile.

I zoomed in on the plate in the pic - looks like it was last registered in 1984. That, plus the flat tire on the right front makes me think she's been there a good while.

I'm going to contact the seller and see what else I can find out. It might be worth a look on my road trip to NY

Those big Mopar wagons can be terrific. Hopefully this one hasn't deteriorated from sitting so long. Be prepared, bringing any car back from an almost 30 year nap is a major undertaking, though.

Owner confirmed that there is no damage at all, and that the last time it was registered was 1985.

I'm trying to find out when was the last time it was run.

This could be a real sleeper.

Sounds like they might just want to be shut of it. Might go cheap?

I'll bet The Rev will back me up here, but in negotiations, whoever throws out the number first, loses... Get them to tell you what they want. (I never like the "Make Offer")

owner tells me they run it very occaisionally. Just to back it out and get at stuff stored in front of it.

I think this one is definitely worth checking out.

    Who agrees?

I agree! Especially if it's close enough to have a good look. I think it's very worth it.

I agree, too. Very definitely worth checking out. No damage says that, if nothing else! That it runs is a real bonus! Just as a bargaining tool, scrap cars, here, are going for $265 a ton, and that car weighs 2 1/2 tons. So your scrap value is roughly $650. Don't expect to get it for less than that. I would say that fair market value for one that runs, and has a pristine body, but is off the road would be somewhere in the $3,000 range. I may be wrong on that, but that's my guess. If you could get it for between $1,500 and $2,000 you are doing well, and even $2,500 would be a good deal.
