recently took my 61 Chris Craft to a car show that happens every year in the interior of BC. It's the Peachland World Of Wheels show. The car show was bleh, but I mainly went up to see the boats, as I had just got mine and wanted to have a day where I could park my poat in the water for a day, to saok the bottom, and to ask the many wood boat questions I had. I thought I'd share some of the boats and a couple of the wagons that were there.

This little jobbie is 1 of a kind, hand made. Some guy told him it couldn't be done, so he did.

Here is my little boat. 1961 17' CC Ski Boat. They sound like nothing else in the water.

And now some of the wagons that were there. There weren't many, but these were the notable ones.

Great pictures of what to have been a real fun day. Gorgeous Chris Craft you've got there; did you get to take it out for a spin? How did it run? Those old wooden boats are the most beautiful on the water but they do require the maintenance for sure. Best of luck with it. She's a beauty.

Yah, there is. Muzzy is actually Terry Muzzy. He was close friends with the previous owner. Terry died in a motor cycle accident, and so they started a foundation in his honor.

    http://www.chescocf.org/Funds/Fund%20purpose/MuzzyTerryFoundation_purpose.htm

Anyway, one day the previous owner phoned me and we were talking and asked me what I planned on doing with the name. I asked him what "Muzzy" was about, and he filled me in. It didn't take me long to decide to tell him I wasn't gonna touch the name scince it was named in honor of a fallen buddy. He seemed really stoked about that, and I feel pretty good about it too.

Now, the boat is known as Muzzy and is it's own person now. Hehe. People ask if my n Muzzy are going out this weekend and such. So it fits just nice.

Neat story about how the boat got its name. And kudo's for keeping the name on the boat.

How's the wagoon coming? Will it be towing the boat yet this summer?
