Hello all, I have sold my 62 Bonneville wagon off to a good home just up the road, and will be picking up a 71 Olds Vista Cruiser. Getting the wagon from the original owner, bought new in Sept 71, has a 455, Th400, PS, PDB, PW, A/C, clock, Am /Fm, 6 way power seat, roof rack, air dam, no rust wood grain in good shape, interior in good shape, has been garaged it's entire life. I will be going to Calif with in the next several weeks to pick it up. I will post some pictures once I get it home.
Californey here I come. Nice! Congratulations on your sale and your purchase. All this talk of new wagons makes me realize how slow my resto is coming, actually it's so close to stopped it's kinda hard to tell it's still moving at all. Well I know I'm not alone in the loonnng, sllooow process...some day. Good morning Dewey Looking forward to the pics kolby. Do you still have the dog in your avatar or did it go with the wagon?
That's not FLASH, that's FRED - Snowman's dog from Smokey and the Bandit! Whatever the name is, he's a handsome guy/she's a pretty girl! Oh, and congrats about your wagon too! Dog discussions can get distracing! Dogs rule!
I sold my completely restored Vista last summer, exactly like that one except it had a 350, I did everything but shoot the paint, sew the $eats and install the woodgrain, so I know a little about the cars. I hope you aren't too big or tall because they don't have much room for the driver, especially compared to a '62 Bonneville, half the reason I sold mine. The other half was the that the bank wanted house payments and I'd rather live in a house than in a car. Weird that it has a vented hood with AC? Normally they get the hood with no vents, but who knows for sure? Fred was Snowman's Basset Hound, Flash was sheriff Rosco P Coltrane's Basset in The Dukes Of Hazzard, so you guys are both right. Columbo had one too, it's name was dog. Our family had one when I was a kid, I don't know about other ones but it was the dumbest dog ever born.
