Me and my girlfriend are moving up to Portland next week! Just wanted to post up and see how many members are up there and any cool spots to check out. Also how is the car/wagon scene?

The Vista won't be making the maiden voyage, but hopefully in the fall or spring when things get worked out and I can fly back to Az for it.

Huh...there's a member of Fullsizebronco.com who is also moving up to the Greater Portland area from Arizona. Mass exodus? Anyway, I live further up the I-5 corridor, in Everett, about 20 miles North of Seattle. And you'll find all the cool spots soon enough.

I'm about 110 miles south of Portland, in the Eugene/Springfield area (the 2 cities butt up against each other - Eugene on the West, Springfield on the east - pretty much divided by I-5).

Lots of car shows around, although I haven't ventured up to any in Portland yet. I know Portland has a huge car swap meet once a year. Portland International Raceway has lots of events.

You can join up the Northwest Longroofs group we have on FB (get the T-shirt and window decal!). I have yet to join an event with them, but a great group of guys and gals, including Jairus here (he does the T-shirt/ decal).

Hey coincidentally, my wife is in Portland right now, visiting sister and family.
    They are NOT car people.
She was born in Eugene I think, Marshall.

I'm no where near your new home so I won't be a neighbour, but happy moving anyway. :)

Once you acclimatize you will find it a great place. I live 6 hours north but we have attended vintage trailer events in the area where many of the trailers are towed by station wagons, vintage carryall/suburbans, vintage trucks, etc.

    Good luck with the move.
