    Not Again?
Son picked up our mail. He never opens ours but saw a TOLL BOOTH fine letter. I haven't seen it yet but apparently my 55 Chevy wagon which has been snuggled in the garage for years waiting on upgrades snuck off and ran the Orlanda area toll booth again disguised as a County Cop car.
My Florida tag is an original 1955 Florida tag which was issued to me for use many years ago then reissued when I bought the wagon back.
The numbers on the County plate are similar yet not the same. A County tag starts with a "*" Star and is a different color along with other differences. Besides my wagon does not have a trunk with the County mounty insignia on it or a white plastic bumper.
This sounds like a simple matter but we are dealing with a company in Arizona who handles the photos and fines, a Florida toll booth, plus a Sheriff's department that has no sense of humor.
At least this will be the last time since we are moving to another state and I hope to reissue my old vanity plate.
    Why me Lord?

Does this look like a Ford police car?

You should call the local news station, they would probably get a kick out of it.

I'd come down there but they won't let me have a passport out of here. My son met his wife somewhere in Australia when in the Marines.

I found the two year old letter I sent before when I ran a redlight and turned left on red in my county mounty car. I'll just return it with updates.
Apparently when they run license tags they don't check government type vehicles because none of them break laws.

Durn you blew my cover too. Now how will I make all of the drug busts down here?
The blue lites are hidden behind the grille and inside the liftgate window.

What would I want an Indiana plate for?

By the way the exhaust finally goes out the rear.

    Toll

Finally a real human being! After trying to send emails to a non-real address and getting the toll authority who says send money I finally got through to the Orange County, Florida toll office and an Englishman. Still better than last time when I got Tempe, Arizona.
The whole fine including $3.00 service charge is only $7.15. Many would just pay it but that would show I did wrong. Probably cost me that much on my cell phone. For maybe 20 minutes I was on hold mumbling how stupid this was hoping the call was monitored like the nice recording said.
The polite man agreed the offending police officer with the real offending license plate is supposed to show his E-Pass or whatever.
Hopefull this matter will be taken care of before my drivers license gets suspended.

Funny the first thing he asked was which toll booth I ran. I made it clear there are no toll booths in my garage in the boonies.:biglaugh:

    Yes again...and again !

Well picked up my mail from the Pony Express driver. Got yet another toll fine bill from Orange County, Florida. That's 140 miles south of me. Now it's up over a whole $11 for a few more non payment toll way uses.
Pay up or have my driver license suspended.
Again my wagon has been sitting all alone in the garage. Lucky I got right thru this time to a very pleasent lady who loved to talk...and talk. I smooth talked her! She made notes and promised this time the head DMV in up state Floriduuu will make notes so this will not happen again.:biglaugh:Yea right!
Apparently the County deputy or deputies driving the Crown Victoria police cruiser have a dead battery in their E-Pass thingie.
I explained that I am upset and am pulling my 1955 Florida tag and moving to Illinois because I am tired of this.:D For a few minutes I think she believed me. Well I am pulling the tag and not renewing my insurance so I was half right.:)
Finally this wil be over. She was amazed I'd had that tag number almost 18 years and agreed I probably had mine before the county got 42717. She also knows that the STAR and the - don't show on cameras or computers.
But they do show on the camera that takes the photo. Only problem with that is no one really looks at those photos. They go by the tag number.
NEVER AGAIN............... Well till next time!:(
