Amazing condition for a small car that old. And even if the seller meant to post $1600. instead of $16, it's a very nice, rare example of the car. Plus, it's RED!! http://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/4338066045.html
HA HA! After our son's SECOND rebuilt 7004R and before that a junk yard 7004R went bad he is out in our drive replacing the last 500 mile rebuild with a heavy duty T-5. Only problem so far is he got everything from a 96 Chevy V-6. Who'd a thunk a V-8 flywheel would have a different bolt pattern and the yoke should be larger? I warned him about the yoke part. He has the clutch pedal and all the hydralic clutch stuff in, the pilot bearing, and now needs a flywheel. So far $275 including the pilot bearing. But no more crappy 7004R's going out. The company won't fix the last one free. Blames him for using wrong torque converter bolts. Same ones he used twice before. So now they say the bolts were stretched! First off it was pukeing fluid out the vent tube and nothing around the torque converter. Sounds fishy to us. And as good as NAPA is to him they have nothing to do with replacement engines or transmissions. Yet they sell them! So when it's done I can see if I still remember how to shift a stick!
If We The People refuse the truth, we will be ruled by liars. I always wanted to comment on this................... Yep, we are!
He only wants $16. I'd hurry, if I were you. The car looks genuinely clean. A co-worker of mine had a later 210 at his disposal for delivering pizzas (it belonged to his parents). It was relatively comfortable, for a Jap car, and the gearbox was quite precise (I drove it a couple times). The problem is with those early Datsuns is that you had to baby those things and the quality wasn't as good as it is today and not as good as the popular contemporary 280 SX or whatever you called that 2 seater sport car
The ad said $16.00 Can I file a lawsuit and have a chance of winning? Whatever the color, that would be a cool car to drive around... If I could get it for $16. Maybe it's his wifes car and they're going through a bitter divorce.
Sweet! We used have one similar, when we were first married, except it was mostly yellow with some green and red. And it didn't always start, so I got to push it so hubby could jump it...ahhh the good old days.
