I'm new to this site and have ventured into my first station wagon purchase. I've been looking most of the year for a unique, but nice wagon and finally found my '67 Olds F85 wagon on ebay. Its a true survivor with 88,000 actual miles and all stock except tutone paint, custom stripe, wheels and tires. It does have add on air, cruise, stereo, Edelbrock 4bbl on an aluminum intake. The car looks as nice underside as it does top side. HOPE TO SHARE SOME PICS WITH YOU AS I LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS SITE. I'm 60 years old; retired Realtor of nearly 30 years and from Huber Hts, Ohio (Dayton suburb) and a "certiable CAR NUT". I've had many many collector cars over the years and enjoy most all cars! I'm thrilled to join the new ,ever increasing, Wagon rage. Look forward to using the site and talking with several of you "down the road"
aboard, oldsmojo1. I think you will find that many of us here are "certifiable". Most of us are car nuts, too. That is one hot looking wagon, for sure!! I bet you feel 25 years old behind the wheel of that beast. Congrats on the purchase and may it bring you many miles of enjoyment. Welcome to the wagon family.
Thanks to all for making me feel so welcome as a "newbie" to the site. So many messages, I'll try to cover all in this 1 reply. I bought the car just as you see it. All I've done so far is put glasspacks on it and new rectangular tips. I do have plans for it in the near future. More on that later. Too ---- cold here in Ohio now. Yes I am both certifiable, and a car nut (Oh and an old codger too) I did upload pics today to the gallery and garage. I think I messed up loading pics in the garage and I believe my pics ended up with some one elses. Don't know how to remove them. Bet the other member will let me know soon! Now, another question: how do I get a pic of my car to come up with my username when I'm online?? THANKS TO ALL!! olsmojo1
The image below your user name is known as an avatar. At the top left of the blue forum menu, click on "User CP" (control panel) You will then see "Your Control Panel" on the left side. Click "Edit Avatar" This will give you the option to enter a link from a web site, or to upload an image from your PC. (The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).) There are instructions on how to resize an image here: http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307 Failing that, I'd be happy to resize it for you.
Yup...that's the car I was talking about, omojo. THAT is a NICE car. It's done up really well and the interior is stellar as I recall. I looked long and hard at that one myself. Good snare!
Oldsmojo1 Thanks for the compliment of my '67 f85. Looks like you have quite a cool collection yourself. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
