Hi everyone this is my frist post.I just purchased a 1953 ford station wagon that I plan on fixing up and pulling are vintage camper with.
I plann to put a trans am sub frame in it and a chevy v8 and 350 turbo.
So I will be looking for ideas and parts and possibly even some one that has done something like this before.I had a 52 ford that I did this to about 5 years ago so I have a good idea about how to go about it and how good the car rides and drives after.
sadly the car is pretty bad shape at this time and I have to do alot of rust repair including doing alot of floor board work.I'll try to keep you posted on the progress .
Thanks and thanks for letting me join you group.

    mustang 2

I have seen alot of mustang 2's in other cars but not in a 52,3or 4 I have the parts already and like I said it works good. the sub fits so nice that you can't believe it.I have a good 302 but doing the gm sub it would be easier to also do the gm motor which I also have.If I decided to not stub it I would probable use the 302,which fits in there great.
    Thanks for the info.

I saw two of those back to back going up 75N today. Must have been coming home from Daytona. I heard it was a helluva show this year. Of course they were in a little better shape than that but you have to start somewhere.

    newbee wagon

Hey even if they where being towed up the high way, they are better then mine.:D It ain't much but it's all I have:) Yes I have alot of work to do but I have done them before and I hope I can do it again.I have a 29 model A in the garage right now that I have to put a new cloth top on, its a four door leather back briggs body, that I'm doing for a friend of a friend.I have to get this done before I can start on the 53 so now I have a reason to get the A done.Right now I also have a 53 four door that I'm robbing parts off of And I need to get that done before the weather gets real bad as it is in a friends junk yard and I have to work on it out side So I'll do that and then the A and then the wagon:whew:
I do have pictures of the camper but they must be on my wifes computer I'll find them and put them with the 53 pictures when I up load them to the gallery.
    Thanks guys
    Clocknut

    Gm jokes

ya ya ya I know all those Gm jokes :D I really aim a ford guy but my pocket book is making me do the car this way The car came with all the parts so I have to go this way. You just can't beat the belly button motors(everyone has one)For the price of re building and you can get parts any place you go .( is there a reason for this LOL)I posted some more pictures of the car on the member gallery (fords).
As soon as I get the car home I will take some more pictures of what I'm up agianest. But you know God says ALL things are possible for those whom trust and believe, and I do.
    See ya Clocknut
