Hello everybody.Have a very happy new year. I went to keep it at Le Havre (Normandy Harbor). Despite of four weeks in the ship it started right .I went to refuel it and return home. The return went well (600 miles) to the West South (Cahors). The only problem is a leak on power steering. A hose is in bad condition. I have added a quart of oil for 60 miles traveled. At the forwarding agent: On the Normandy Gate: At home:
The "cattle" is very impressive:225,6 lenght for 4,732 curb weight.A picture with my daily a A4 Avant:
Excellent! Had one growing up, yellow with woodgrain. I sat in the wayback (3rd seat) Clark W Griswold would be proud
The body still has some flaws .They are some small scratchs on the body that have been skipped the paint. There is a small shock on top of the radiator grill. At the tailgate, the handle is broken. To open the tailgate i need lower the electric window to use the handle who rotate the tailgate down .It also miss the emblem. It also miss a LTD emblem on the passenger side headlamp bezel The door seals are also KO.I need to change them
They are two things to watch. They are at the bottom of the windshield. I should scratch to see what happen under.
The gallery is enough wide to install a longboard. The two rails slide to accommodate the loading. </SPAN>
Now going inside. The interior is green "Seventies". The LTD owns two 3-seater bench seat in tweed. It’s warmer in winter and it does not burn in summer. One seat has been repaired properly, vinyl bottom is cracked in 2 sides .I haven’t the optional 3rd seats the trunk but I'll try to find it in USA.
The carpet is new. The headliner is in very good shape. The dome light is cooked by the bulb. </SPAN>
Plastics armrests are become brittle over the time. The dash pad is broken. The glove box is in good shape. The car have few options. Only cruise control and clim. The blower motor and heating hoses are out of order. With the new carpet this feels the leak on radiator ... It has no clock. Equipment is far away from the Country Squire or Colony Park. </SPAN>
