Hello: I am looking for a front right fender for my 76 Buick estate wagon, anyone have any suggestions? Also, the rear indoor wheel covers are faded and I am thinking they can be resprayed, but not sure that is possible, any thought? I own three wagons 72 Ford Country Squire, 88 Ford Country Squire and my 76 Buick Estate. At this point I need to spend some time/TLC on the Buick. If anyone has any thoughts or feedback, let me know. Best Regards, Mark
I'm guessing that your front fender can come from any full-size '76 Buick, wagon or not. As far as the interior vinyl pieces covering the rear wheels, vinyl paint is available and usually works well. Get the color you want and try it in a small area just to see how it works. I repainted the padded dash on a '64 Olds with vinyl paint, and you would never know it wasn't original.
Check a Hollander's Manual about the fender. There were 4 different front fenders, and the only differences were the presence or absence of cornering lamps and the number of ventiports. LeSabre grade cars had 3 while Electra grade cars had 4. I think you will find that the fenders are the same for model years 74 through 76, and it may stretch earlier as well. If your car has the wood grain there may be an issue with the clips for the outline trim, too.
to the forum. It would be nice if the introductions came first. Then the parts requests. But that's just my opinion from a groucy old fart.
