Just found this site. I love it. My parents purchased a 1977 Colony Park Station Wagon new. It has been in our family ever since. I drove it in High School in the late 70's. My grandparents had it for a few years, then it went back to my parents.
My father refused to sell the wagon, he drove his 79 pick up instead. We are definitely a 'Ford' 'Mercury' Family. My father recently passed away and my Mom still owns the Wagon. It is time for a new home for it. I get very nostalgic, and a bit sad, when I see it at her house.
Anyway, I am looking forward to reading your stories and seeing your wagon photos. :)

    Welcome to the SWF.....

Well, why don't you keep it? These big wagons are great for just cruising around, and they can even take the place of having a small P/U......

    re: 77 Colony Park

    Hi Marshall,

Since my Dad passed my Mom now has 5 cars. Two vintage Mercury's, one vintage Ford truck, a 05' Explorer and a '89 Cadillac Brougham. She only likes to drive the Explorer. She asked me to sell three of the cars for her, sometimes my sister drives the Caddi to hopefully find a buyer. If I lived in my Mom's town I might drive the wagon now and then, but I live too far away and she just wants the, 'vintage' cars sold.
For many years I rented their vacation place and the Mercury Wagon (and Bobcat) were stored there. I took it upon myself to keep the cars vacuumed out, washed, polished and covered when necessary , knowing someday they would be sold.
Thanks for sharing the photo of your wagon, I love it!

    flashback dream

I found the forum on a simple search which is the best. I drive a Ford, a Bronco and for about the last 10 yrs have been trying to recreate my past. Some funny memories with my family! My parents purchased a new 1976 Torino wagon, to be honest I was 7 at the time so I really don't remember the engine or more than it was white with a blue interior. It was the best jungle gym and playground ever. The only seat belts I remember were my dad's arm or colorful words giving my sisters and I some warning. Anyway long story short. I purchased a 76 Ranchero about 6 yrs back and restored it.. it wasn't the great white wagon. I sold it and the bug is back, I am looking for a 73-76 Torino wagon, no wood panels, I looking for another Ford for this family.. I am sure my dad would laugh....

Thanks for having me on the site.
