So I was restoring a 1957 Studebaker Commander 4 door sedan and needed something a littler sooner to be road worthy so I got rid of that and acquired a 1978 Country Squire from what I can tell she is complete and needing some freshening up the wood trim is shedding laminate like its nobodies business and the laminate is cracking up and one fender needs all the trim around the paneling, I also am looking for some of the side paneling in the back like the spare tire cove area etc... so far this is a pretty cool car I am not sure if I am looking in the right spot or not but does anyone know of any websites comparable to www.studebaker-intl.com? they have an online pdf and a paper catalog over 300 pages long and can acquire almost any part or tell you where to find it and even have tons of NOS parts and they are even indicated in the catalog. Studebaker has been out of business since like 1967 I hope there is a page or a company or even some classic ford salvage yards (Junkyard is such a harsh word unless it houses late model vehicles) and ford is still around. P.s. does anyone know if Ford may still have anything for 1978 Vehicles?:tiphat:

Now it's time to look around and see who and or what is available to get those parts and get your wagon lookin good.
:Welcome:from over here in NW Florida. Trouble with brands like Ford is they make new models almost daily and don't stock much for the future.

    Welcome aboard!

I find this site useful for part searches. It is a national Craigslist search engine:

Welcome to the Squirrel's Cage. We're all just a little nuts. Only one way to find out if Ford has what you are after, and that is to go to an old, established Ford dealer and ask. Parts for these old Fords are often in a hard copy book not the computer system. Just last year, I was able to get a set of Ford shock absorbers($140 the set) and a brake light switch. Ordered the whole lot on Friday, and had everything in hand on Saturday morning.

We used to have Special Interest Automotive here in Toronto, but they closed down in the spring. They didn't care much about Fords from the 70s, but they did have quite a lot of stock. No idea who bought the whole lot, though.

Good luck on the hunt. Hopefully you find what you need soon.
