Hello I'm Brittany, I'm new to wagons I've wanted one for the past few years and just got one yesterday. Its a 78 Ford Fairmont wagon, picked it up for $1100 running, driving, everything is in good shape and works. Has the 200 6 cyl and c4, with 480,000 original miles. White and baby blue interior.

The receipt from when it was bought in 78 is in the dash, that woman had it till the second owner bought it 10-15 years ago when he got it registered the paperwork said it had 460,000 miles. And I bought it from him. He said the woman never touched the motor just drove it to church and to the store. Said the motor had never been changed...

Got to fix the air conditioner pump, the valve pan gasket, a leaking gas line and redo the rusty exhaust. Then get the windows tinted and maybe some small circle hubcaps... and going to drive it to somernights cruise in somerset, ky for the show and cruise...

:) I can take a joke, I've owned a 86 rx7 with a 302, a 69 Baja bug and I daily drive a hot pink and black Corrolla, My family are all ford, my husband has a turbo ranger, and my in-laws all love mustangs so... I use to get made fun of a lot... They all think I'm crazy for buying the wagon.

Those Fairmonts are secret sleepers. They share the same chassis as the Mustang II and you could turn heads with them, just because nobody sees what you've got under the hood, as well as the unseen suspension tweeks

Welcome to the nuthouse we call home. If your family is familiar with the 80s Mustangs, they are familiar with your car! They are all Fox-Body cars, so most parts will swap from one to the other! Looks like a GREAT little car, too. Not TOO many miles. Just enough to keep the old girl limber! Good luck. Don't forget to post pictures as you do work on her!
