Hello everyone! Im Colin from Pittsburgh PA and have a 1960 Country sedan. This is my 2nd 60 wagon. Have some Galaxies, 60 Custom 300, 5.0 Mustangs, and Superduty. I cant wait to give you more detail on the wagon....
You got it. So, let me tell you a tad about this situation. My first car was a 60 country sedan. I built it 1994-1996 (turned 16 in 1996). The car was great but rusty. It was a GREAT car to learn body work on . Also took the tired 352 2v out and built a warmed up 390 for the car. Again, great way to learn how to build an FE and Cruise-o-matic. I drove and loved the car until 1999 when it saved my life. I got hit by a drunk driver. The accident was so bad, I went trough the windshield. The trans cracked at the case, seat was lodged under the dash. After that was all said and done, I had to run a mile to flag down help. The drunk guy was ok but passed out and had some neck issues... All of that and I walked away with minor knee surgery, stitches and broken fingers. In 2000 I bought a 64 Galaxie to replace my wagon. That car was a 390 4 speed car. I made it a 390 tripower 5 speed car. Its a BLAST to drive. Aluminum heads, 3:89 gears, good exhaust. As for the new wagon.... Bought in NV then made its way to SoCal. It is being picked up for delivery to me this week! Unrestored Here are some picks. I didnt post any of the mustangs or real good shots. Just what was easy to get to. That's quite a story about your first wagon! Glad you're here to talk about it! It looks like your new '60 wagon already has your Ford tag on the front. I like the yellow '60 sedan, very nice. Welcome! Pete
Everything (Besides the truck) was built. These cars started off as solid slates. I am really freaking excited to get this wagon! I am going to keep it the way it is save for interior.
Thanks Pete! Yes sir.... when I saw that plate I had to do it. Now, I really shouldnt be spending the cash on something like this but when I found it my wife noticed I lit up like a Christmas Tree. She knew I had to do it.
Thank you sir. There hasnt been a day in my life where I havent in one way or another did something for an old Ford. People my age were into Hondas (now 30s drive yuppy rides). I was doing burn outs at high school in my 66 Galaxie.
Wooo! Wooo! Wooo! (Imagine the sound Goober from Andy Griffith makes when he's totally excited about anything!) I'm a big fan of the 59/60 Fords especially the 60 wagons like yours. Oh, welcome to the madness! for opening post rating!
