Hi folks, I wanted to share some pictures of my 2 long roof projects. My 57 Ranchwagon has been a project for a year and I just aquired a 58 Chevrolet Yeoman. Even my Hot Rod ( that use to be a 4 door sedan) is a sedan delivery. Guess you could say I have a thing for surfboard ready vehicles.
The ink is still wet on the transfer papers on the 58. The Ford had gotten the attention in the last year ( almost to the day ) and this winter I'll turn to the Yeoman. I promised the wife I wasn't buying any more projects... so I told her I was "hording" this one. Should buy me some time.
Thanks fellas, I'm a pretty happy chappy for sure. When I enter my shop I turn on my CD player filled with blues from the 30's-50's, and Rockabilly and I time travel. There's nothing wrong in the world, Mrs Smith next door is cooling a fresh baked apple pie on her window ledge and I can see that gas is still .10 cents a gallon on the pump outside. I find my bliss for sure. Todays a milestone too, Just been going though my picture file and realised I bought this back on July 20th last year... Got more done than I had expected this last year.... Doing brakes today. That leaves wiring for now, exaust and remaining interior for later. I'm Really looking forward to moving it under her own power next week. She wont see the road this summer but will be ready to bolt out of the gate next summer for sure!
It's funny, the 58 was painted flat back about 10 years ago, over what looks like very good stock paint so a big wet sand is coming. When I get around to it over winter I'll start dreaming colours. For now satin teal and white or satin red comes to mind.
Very nice cars...and your shop kicks A$$!!! Thanks for sharing, both your cars and your shop....and yes I'm more then just a little jealous.
