has a lot of boxes. She is planning to move so we where trying to get a few boxes out of the attic. Turns out Nelson was a very organized person. There was the usual stuff, Christmas decorations, suitcase and many, many boxes of dishes. However I came across a box marked "calendars, car leafets and divorce papers". Inside this box I found, ok divorce papers(I didn't look at these) but also 28 old car brochures and 7 old calendars. Anybody want to see?
Fannie, you're a woman and you didn't check out the D-papers?!?! Not even a sneak peak? Love finding old brochures and stuff in attics. My house was built in the early 1900s, and I found a newspaper from 1905 and a really wooden willow branch slingshot, in perfect squirrel-chasing shape, although I tried it with cats (easier targets around here )
It would be nice to find someone that would like to trade for that Beaumont brochure...how do I go about that?
I was thinking maybe the person that had the Beaumont brochures you wanted but were too expensive might trade with you. Might not, but never hurts to ask! Good luck!
I'm getting a copy of the Beaumont brochure that I was wanting from a member on Canadian Poncho, actually it's the same guy from Ontario that bought our donor car(68 Beaumont SD). I'm trading him for one of the brochures that has large picture of a 73 Estate Wagon. He says that he's grandpa used to have and it brought back memories when he saw it. top picture.
For sale...I don't know??? Doesn't seem right some how, does it??? I did ask my sister if she minded me trading the other one, she said she didn't care one way or the other. Is there one you interested in? I have no idea what they are worth, but taking money just doesn't feel right...
The only I would be interested in would be anything Mercury. Although, anything wagon related but that goes without saying.
Here is the thread... there is a guy on kijiji (classic cars) that is advertising a large amount he may have the right one!
