Have a great trip Cam! Get plenty of :camera:.

On a side note, how many of us think the 510 model put Datsun on the map in the US?

With the 510 and then the 240Z in '72, it was a 1-2 punch.....

I think the 240Z was the car that really woke people up to the Datsun.

That KA24DE has to make that little sucker scream. Are you setting it up like a drift car? Seems like that little bugger would drift like a mad man.

You're' rite as rain KK! I didn't even think about the 240, but I agree these 2 models in my opinion gave Datsun the needed boost here in the states to become a solid national brand here. The original Maxima's certainly helped also. Now where's that nodding yes smiley? I saw it in the list yesterday! I'm gonna use this other smiley just for the hell of it cause I like it and can't find the appropriate smiley. :deadhorse:

ok sorry for the delay, got some uploaded today.

Friday evening, shop has closed up and Denis and I are ready to head to south to Canby Oregon. Denis has VG30 from a 300ZX shoe horned under his hood. 191RWHP on a mustang dyno.

By the time we make "Battle Ground" sleep has set in and we pull over for the night. We pull into the rest stop and get nice and comfy in our raceing bucket seats.... highly recommend it. It's like sleeping a cloud... during a thunder storm.... while its hailing... Morning comes quickly and we set off again.

    for about 3 minutes....

This is an odd sight.. its normally my stuff that breaks down and Denis who saves the day, so this was a strange twist. Plug in the laptop and it fires up... Guess it was the Nistune.

    Alas we roll into Canby

The Maxima wagon is hiding a turbo charged L6 under the hood
    [IMG]

I can;t remember the exact story behind the paint.. but from what I remember the wagon is hand painted and the paint tells the story of the owners trip to Africa, the hand prints are all the hands of the children at the youth center he volunteers at. Pretty cool

    500HP Turbo v6!!!!

Dammit engine photo won;t work... sorry.. use your imagination.. its shiny.
So heres a wagon driven by a Datsun Girl, could stand to be a bit lower though...
