guess i should esplain a bit eh Lucy?

I just didnt want it to sound like i'm bragging or something dumb like that [IMG] ...but....

I'm CEO of a car/related charity event called Kruise for Kids
this year was it's 24th year!...to the best of our Knowledge..its the Oldest CAR Charity Event in Canada [IMG] ..and possibly the USA...not sure?!
It has a Xmas theme to it!! [IMG]

so heres the deal...we get together the 1st Sunday in November, every year.
It's open to ALL 'specialty vehicle enthusiast's'...
we meet at a mall parking lot...then cruise out to a hall in a different town.

where we raffle off about $6000,oo worth of door prizes..give out trophies for,
    Best Decorated Car
    Best Decorated Club
    Best Decorated Driver n Crew
    Best Club Turnout

Anyhoo...this year was SPECTACULAR...the weather was great!!!
We had over 200 cars show!... [IMG] ...over 400 people!!

This year...was amazing!! we took in OVER $11,000.oo in cash donations(best in 10 years), and the largest amount of toys in 9 or so!~!! ...the WE donate it all to a "Charity foundation"..that we've been dealing with for 22 of our 24 years, then they distribute it all to 'needy kids 'thruout the Province...('state' to you American friends) :)

and for those who are still curious..check here...I built the site...so it aint great [IMG] http://www.kruiseforkids.com/ ..theres tons of pics from past years....dial up guys BEWARE!!

Are you still involved for next year?

I checked the site and didn't see Jimmy Pattison's agencies (Bowmac?) Toyota, Chev-Olds), Save-On, Overwaitee, Jimmy collected Pontiac convertibles. His wife collects(ed) Buicks. She's the one to call. Jimmy's too incisive (chop, chop!)

But you know where you'll get more folks is at the Hot Jazz Club in Vancouver, even your Premier is a member and a car collector (he used to have a couple of '63 Lincoln convertibles with suicide doors).

most corporate outfits wont do anything..:49: .they get bombarded by charity's with their hands out...:D
i prefer to stay grass roots...with company's that support the sport;)
as opposed to big shots wanting 'photo ops'...and i know Jimmy:p
