Ok my friends, I went hog wild with my step son over turkey day weekend. I totally removed all interior parts including trashed door panels seats and the headliner. the carpet was already gone. as well as the passenger side fender in order to replace part of the heating system. even though I found out why the heat was putting out so strong. the previous owner didn't use this vehicle as much as he said he did I found large remnants of critter living quarters through the interior as well as in the heating area.
Looking great! Now that you've started, we require regular updates. Think of it as our caring/sharing way to help motivate you so she doesn't become lawn art.
Oh no! What have you done? No turnin back now. Keep at it and soon you will be cruisin!:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
nice Just received a boatload of my new materials for this endeavor. it includes 12 yds of grey vinyl, 2 yards of a light grey vinyl, A gun metal grey Carpet and the silver grey headliner. hoping this weekend is a sunny one so I can start welding some issues around the windshield and cab floor boards. pics to follow. Since the door panel cardboard was totally trashed I made new ones out of a 1/8" thick fiberboard. I will be doing all my own work on this. Except for the stitching of the new seats they will be sewn by the wife after I perform the tedious job of reverse engineering of the present seats.
And you're off!! Good luck; glad to see you're really going for it. Can't wait to watch the progress.
:d oh yeah going full bore on this. I haven't been able to complete a restoration I've started when I owned my million and one pontiacs. BUT this is only my second wagon and I love it more than any vehicle or hot rod I've had prior. I do miss my 69 concourse wagon though. that was a 100.00 find back in the early 90's I gave it to my mother in law since she didn't have a running vehicle. when it gave her problems she junked it WAAAAAAA. Heres a couple of pics before the tear down. the only two before pics I have lol since the car has only been mine since Sept. of this yr.
Love this wagon, of course I'm partial to 65's as I'm restoring a 65 impala SS convert. I would have preferred a 65 or 66 impala wagon to my 77 colony park but I could not find anything that was not needing a ton of work and wasn't priced out of this world. Not that I'm afraid of work but my wife on the other hand will only allow so many cars in the garage and driveway. Lol
Looking good Flashback. It's been a long time since I sat in Fannie like this. Keep at it, it looks like a good solid car.
