    I'm quite sure mine has none of either. The front ashtray is missing and since I changed out the seats there is none in the back.:yippee:

    yeah, no eating or drinking in the Buick (unless my approval is sought....forms must be filled out in triplicate including 10 personal references from the past 5 yrs....sent to me for approval....sent back..buried underground for 21 days.. then sent back to me... then submitted to committee for approval. then..and only then....will i allow a drink with a lid)

    the caprice....welll i dont care..just dont spill anything.

    and UNDER NO CONDITION is any smoking permitted in any of my vehicles.

    even when i smoked if i couldnt abstain any longer id pull over, sit on the shoulder and have a smoke. my wife let her sister smoke in her car once and i layed into her for 2 days. nothing is worse than a car that smells like an ashtray. nothing drives resale value down like that either.

    I guess I got everyone beat... FOUR ashtrays and zero cupholders. (unless we ARE counting hanging door ones from Wal-Mart...who's the ref here?)

    I think this is the one that puts me over:
    interior - 3rd seat down.jpg

    I can just imagine grampa puffing away angrily on his cigar cause you made him sit in the 3rd row with Junior and Spot the incontinent golden retriever. :rofl:

    HA! I remember those rear seat ash trays! Growing up my best friend's family had a Chevrolet wagon with the ash trays in the back just like that.

    My car has three. Main one in the dash and one in each rear door. Of course, growing up they were filled with gum wrappers, not ash. For some reason.... gum wrappers....
    Now, when you open the glove box, the flat surface on the back side of the glove box door has two indented circles. Only thing I can figer is they are literally old school cup holders.

    On the "smoking in the car" note, My Grandparents (on the other side) had a 1966 Plymouth Fury III wagon which they were still driving when I was young (wish I coulda got that one too!) My Grandfather smoked a pipe and to this day, the sweet smell of vanilla pipe tobacco in 1960's vinyl upholstery brings me back to when I was a kid.

    3 ashtrays, no cupholders.

    Front center, middle center and "way back" side. The "way back" seat has those nice little wing windows for smokin'. I wish the front seats had them, too.

    @OrthmannJ
    Yeah, my glovebox door has those little "spots" you could set a cup on.... while parked outside the Burgerville. Not going to keep a cup out of the passenger's lap once you hit the gas.

    Correction Ian, Roadmasters have 4 cup holders and 3 ash trays. There are 2 in the way back, one on each side panel for the rear seat. Atleast my 92 and 93 do. I do smoke and never use the ash trays for anything but a place to sit my lit smoke when I need to use my hand, the window is where my ashes go. Cup holders are useless for anything but change and other things too, no way will they hold my 24oz Dr Pepper bottles.

    Yeah that is true but could be a real sore spot if your spouse or GF used it for their drink and you take off. :slap: :rofl2:
