Hi! I'm hoping someone on here has a good condition waistline glass seal on their tailgate. Almost nothing left of it on my '66 Belvedere, so I'm hoping someone would be so kind to take a picture of what it looks like and how it works. Unsurprisingly I've not found one for sale, so I'm going to have to be creative. Would be good to know what they should look like. It seems to go up and down with the window, so must flap out into the tailgate metal when it comes up? Fingers crossed! Gerry
Seal Not the best pic but on my 64 880 the seal sits in the window channel and when it comes up it seals at the top of the tail gate. Got lucky a few years ago and found a NOS seal.
Thanks! What a fab place - a reply in no time at all! It's going to be a difficult one to make up from other rubber profiles, so will have to be really creative. I've emailed a few businesses on your side of the pond - never know, they may have one hiding in a corner! Any more pics close up would be useful if anyone gets a chance? Thanks again Gerry
