i really wanted the back dual facing 3rd row seats out of this one! i was excited! ... when i got to the back of the wagon, my heart sunk.... as you can see, the tailgate was totally removed. its been here since november and 4 inches of water was inside the cargo space where the seats store. the seatbelts were rotted and rusty, all the bolting hardware rusted, and seat vinyl was damaged from rain and elements exposure. seat stuffing was starting to rot. DAMN!!! so close!!! thankfully i have a connection for one in canada possibly so all hope isn't lost...

that being said, there were many great and rare parts from this wagon i picked for towanda from upullit. the very rare air deflector on the luggage rack, weather stripping parts for the top tailgate and rear passenger doors, all of which is in better shape and condition than mine. also got a seatbelt tensioner spring since my from belts need new tension springs, all for only $15! then off to awesome auto where my friend brian and i picked a 86 marquis and got 3 hubcaps and 2 a/c vents for $10! if you need parts in dfw the mexcian junkyards prices are amazing! picknpull has better selection, and appropraitely expensive prices... that being said, this pull didnt involve alot of money![IMG]
one question i do have, did the country squire itself ever really have the rear air deflector option? or just the colony parks? and yes the woodgrain on this i removed off the air deflector because it was peeling and trashy. i will re-dinoc it from sharpline or woodgrain 4 wagons more than likely.... towanda has her original woodgrain still and want to match it close as i can... i know that'll be a challenge.

thanks 81x11 for the tip! got some great parts from that colony park, if it wouldve been a squire, many more parts wouldve followed me home!

Great find on the parts. Yes, the Country Squire had the air deflector option. The wood grain on it matched the dy-noc on the rest of the car. What I was going to suggest is that if you ever come across an 88 or 89 Ford, Mercury of Lincoln with the articulating head rests, grab them. They mount in the same brackets as the regular ones, but add a measure of safety that is immeasurable.

Good deal! Glad you saved some parts from it. Always fun to hit the yards!

I just looked. The Colony Park looks to have those head rests, too. Nab them! Also, the grill on that one looks to be about perfect, and it just pulls out. That hood ornament is hard to find as well.
