Newly signed up on station wagon forums. Have owned several wagons over the years, but none now.
Particularly interested in info on Hurst Rescue 1 for personal reason - my father helped develop the Hurst “Jaws of Life” and Rescue 1 at Hurst plant in Warminster, PA. Location of any survivors; detailed info; pictures; etc.

Welcome aboard. Would be interested in hearing more about your Dad's involvement in that project.

Dad was the prototype tool and die maker for Hurst at the plant in Warminster, PA. In that role, he built the tools/dies for all new products (pistol-grip shifter, T-handle, wheels, etc) or special one off projects (shifter for Hemi Under Glass, 1964 Indy Hurst Floor Shift Special Sidecar, etc) and, of course, the Jaws of Life rescue tool.
To better promote the tool, Hurst decided to package it with a vehicle and other rescue items. They choose a AMC Gremlin. I don’t know if a Gremlin is considered a station wagon. If it is, I guess it would be considered a “short roof”. The roof does go from the windshield to the rear hatch door.
The first one went to Murry Co. Rescue in GA (which they still have). I don’t know how to add a picture of it here, but you can Google it. Supposedly, there were from 3 to 10 built in total. I’m looking to see if anyone knows the whereabouts of one of those.

    That's pretty incredible!
I am sure that someone shared something about one of those Gremlins on here in the past. I think I remember who it was, but I'll have to do some digging.
