I need parts for my '63 country sedan

Hey all,
i really really need a new tailgate for my 1963 Ford country sedan. anyone know where i can find one? I also need a driver's side back door.

Welcome aboard. For your wagon, you could probably use any full size 61-64 Ford or Mercury wagon tailgate (I think that only the trim would be different).

 

i know that the 62, 63 and 64 country sedans were all different

 

Years ago I had a 64 Country Sedan and originally thought the tailgate was unique to 64. But the wide aluminum trim across the tailgate on the 64, apparently hid the recessed lower section that had the concave trim on earlier Country Sedans.

 

my problem is that i can find any that are in half way good condition.

I guess there are some differences in the tail gates from 61-64. According to this thread on a different forum, the 64 used the 62 tail gate. I'm guessing the 61 and the 63 use the same tailgate. But it sounds like hardware differs.

i had to study the pictures ive found of the tailgates. looks like the 61 IS the same as the 63!!!
