We've all seen stupid car ads on Craigslist or in the Autotrader/Pennysaver, etc.
"Volkswagon Beatle, Chevy Camero, or Plymouth Valium for sale.
(OK, I made the last one up.)
But this one almost made me spray iced tea on my keyboard when I read it:

Ya hafta wonder what caliber the breaks are on a Volts Wagon.
    .22? .38? .45?
And why does Will want to part with this classic convertible?
    :D :D :D

It just shows how horrible our education system is these days or the actual lack of care to write correctly. When I was married, my ex asked me to look over a science paper for her son who was in middle school, at the time. I found several grammatical and spelling errors. He said, it doesn't matter, it's Science class, she doesn't grade it for mistakes. I like it when someone from another country comes on here and the first thing they write is, "Excuse my English" and then they write a perfect post.

The other thing that I see in this ad, which does not seem uncommon, is the inability to spell the name of the vehicle correctly.
If a person drives a vehicle everyday, don't you suppose they would know how to spell it's name? It shocks me sometimes how unobservant individuals can be when it comes to things in there everyday environment.

That is funny... the one about the Ford being a Chevy is funny too.

Here is one that the only thing crazy is the price. I know it is a cool car, but I do not see anyone paying this for that car... $35,000 for a non-mint '58 Bel-Air sedan seems steep?

lol! That is my neck of the woods for ya. lol. It is even worse north of here as you head into eastern Kentucky and West Virginia, but even here in Tennessee and north Georgia. lol. I know because we have stores in those areas that put in work orders and those people cannot spell worth a darn - especially in KY & WV. I was always a straight A speller and won several spelling bees, so seeing words not spelled correctly drive me insane. lol.

Sale is a noun. Sell is a verb. You don't sale a car. What's so frickin hard about that?
Also, I think we are seeing a lot of the "hooked on phonics" generations (or ebonics as the case may be).

Omg! I needed this! Especially after working retail through yet another holiday season!
I had this same frustration with almost all of my classmates back in Joplin. Out of those that could spell/read it was poorly written print. Only a small handful of us could write in cursive. When I was learning how to write my dad would have me practice it extra after school. It wasn't any different when I learned cursive. My handwriting has been labeled as having a classical style and has received both compliments and complaints equally. Frankly, I get enjoyment out of both reactions. I make mistakes and forget things sometimes but at least I try.
