I'm putting a new intake manifold and 4bbl carb on my wagon - what's the opinions on carbs? Edelbrock or Holley? 600 cfm range is what I'll be purchasing. Thanks.

Edelbrock! I hate holleys they always run rich and are a pain in the arse! I traded 2 brand new holley's for the 1 USED edelbrock I have now!

I put an Edelbrock on my wagon 8 years ago and got it jetted and metered right, I haven't touched it since. Love it. That's my opinion on this, but I have a feeling I'm going to be one of the few and not the many. The subject of carbs always seems to cause debate...or is it just me?

The square bore Edelbrock 1401 carb body, and talk to Edelbrock for how you use the car, and they will tell you what jets and metering rods are the right ones to fit. The 1401 is a 600 cfm, so the perfect size. It is dead reliable, EASY to tune, and replacing the jets and rods is a no-brainer, as the carb does not even need to come apart.

I bolted on my Edelbrock carb and have not had to mess with it since. It's in my opinion the best carburetor on the market today.

I agree with the rest of the opinions, Only bolt on a Holley for Drag Stip use, or if you want to 1/2 your MPG. They are not bad carbs, just not for a Street car that you drive regularly.

Thanks fellas - this helped confirm my selection. I ordered the Edelbrock 1405 600 CFM and the Edelbrock Performer RPM 2121 intake manifold. I appreciate your help.
