Sarge gets plenty of SPG (Smiles Per Gallon) but the boy is getting about 10-12 MPG. He will run on Mid grade gas but prefers Premium. With only 17 gallon tank capacity, he can use that gas in very short order.
With today's gas prices, I find myself cutting back on taking Sarge on little trips around town. My Corvette and Audi both get 20 MPG. It's a good thing that I was an exec at Exxon and get eight cents off a dollar, but $4 gas is damn high!!

Gas seems to be going up 10-15 cents per day, and wait till the “summer” driving season kicks off after Memorial Day. Damn Putin!

You hit the nail on the head...The price of gas is directly related to supply/demand. Putin's war on Ukraine reduced the supply, but the demand keeps raising...Gonna drive the Audi today:(

Supply & demand aren't the only thing driving prices. Speculation and greed is what is mostly driving the price right now. Don't believe me? How long was the line you had to wait in to fill up your tank last? One block? Two blocks? Yeah, gas supplies are tight.

If you believe it's just Putin is to blame, I got a bridge to sell you...

Gas averaged $2.38/gal when Biden took office, $3.53/gal when Putin attacked Ukraine. That can't be blamed on Putin, and I'd argue that most of the rest of the increase isn't war related either.

Here in WA, I'm happy if I can find gas under $5.00/gal. Rarely any lines at the pump though, and only at Costco which often has lines under normal conditions.

I tend to agree with you. I had said that as a tongue and cheek comment. I do think some geo-political pressure is at work, but this was happening long before March, and the just recently canceled lease offerings are going to only exacerbate the problem. We’re not helping our situation in the least.

IMHO I believe that the middleman is most responsible for most all price increases. They all saw an opportunity and jumped on the bandwagon.
