    The same with the transmissions. GM simply needed them. So, they went to Ford to get them.
    If they did something like that, that would be reverse advertisement. If word got out, it wouldn't be good for business. I surely wouldn't buy a product of which the manufacturer itself didn't have confidence in. Buick and Oldsmobile could do this, because they have conventional drive trains. At best, Buick and Olds could drag race their vehicles with 421 Pontiac engines, simply because there weren't yet alternatives

    You are right ..This is the one. Wow this is a a lot info for one post. Thanks for the tip about the shaker.

    The Poncho went through several engine modifications. TH-400 was beefed up with fresh stuff too, yet didnt do that much changes on the external although I am looking a change after these years. Donno if you agree but a RamAir hood will look better ?
