    Hi!
I'm looking for a source for vinyl trim used to secure perforated masonite
headliner panels on my 1959 Buick wagon. The wagon body was built by
Ionia body (not Fisher). The molding is extruded and painted silver on the backside. It clips over a zinc plated steel bow which is attached to the roof and retains the headliner panels. I think that this type of headliner was used on a number of different make/model wagons around that time.
    Thanks!

You'll find some vendor links to headliners and upholstery in the Automotive Links page in here:
    http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/local_links.php

You might also try the trailer supply vendors via Google or some other search engine. I remember that trim too. Post a pic if you can?

    Thanks Norman,
I checked most of those sources and tried just about every combination of internet search keywords with no luck yet. I may have to use the old ones (paint them or something). I should be at that point around May or June and I will post some pics then.

I missed the part where you said they were painted silver on the backside. That tells me they were probably a styrene (brittle with age) type. Maybe you should look at other GM brands that were more popular and see if they had the same moldings?

My dash is made of styrene, and most of us Fox-bodied Ford guys can tell you how easy it cracks when you have to change the heater core.
