my son is 21 and my oldest daughter is 31 and middle daughter is 30 . I'm 45 and I got granddaughter that’s 15 and three grandson's that 9/8/6. I have to work, so happy fathers day to all the dads!

well, this is an Odd fathers day for me. this is the first fathers day for me actually being a father. and the first fathers day for me without my dad. for those of you who don't know. My dad passed away in january after a short 6 month fight with small cell lung cancer. he fought like hell and went throught the worst treatments i have ever seen just so he could hold his grandaughter. my dad always tried to play the opposite of my overprotective mom. and was always fostering my love of exploring the unknown. when i brought TiKi home, my dad looked her over and said "sweet wagon son" and he was genuinely excited when i called him to tell him she took 2nd place in my class at Carlisle last year. i have so many stories about my dad. and so many memories. my advice....espescially to my younger friends on here is: tell your dad you love him...dont be afraid to say it. take every moment you can to help him do stuff, or just sit on the porch and BS. because whn its gone...its gone. and i can tell you from experiance that when your dad goes. you will regret every minute you didnt spend with him. I miss my dad. but he and i will be sitting and having a cigar and a glass of scotch again someday...i know this! I Love You Dad, I miss you, but Ill see you soon enough....
