It looks like an interesting project. I grew up in a 75 Gran Torino Squire wagon. Good luck and keep us posted!

Ordered a Deluxe Marti Report for it today. This report gives me tons of information about the car, and it isn't even the most expensive report. Here's an example of a Marti Report for another '73 Gran Torino. (2-door)

Nice! Looks like she needs some work (maybe an understatement, haha) Does look rust free though, not a derby car that's for sure. :disagree:

Can't wait to see the end result. -Good luck & keep us posted! :D(y)

Is it bad that I noticed the Toronado parked next to it first?

Nice wagon, GTW. Look foward to seeing the progression.

Not at all. It and the Caprice next to that are also mine, but the Oldsmobile has no title. It's actually a Trofeo, not a Toronado Trofeo.

Haven't done much to the wagon. Still looking for a motor and tranny.

    Update:

Been taking more stuff off it, almost found an engine but the deal fell through. Still on the hunt for a 302/C4 for it. Discovered today that it is slightly different than other 73's because it was made in late 1972.

Instead of trying to find a good C-4, get the mechanical AOD out of a late 80s F-150. It will bolt right in, and give you much better fuel economy. You might even do the F-150 engine. Or the drive train out of a post 85 Crown Vic, Grand Marquis or Lincoln Town Car. Even the Mustang GT 302 or the Lincoln LSC. Just discard the fuel injection, and put in an Edelbrock intake and 4 bbl carb. It will look completely vintage, but the engines were significantly upgraded for 85. Also, that is when they went to a one piece rear main seal. The older, 2 piece, design, was commonly known as 'rust proofing'. It sort of filtered oil as it seeped through, more than kept it in the engine. At least after the first few years. They ALL leak. Better the later engine. Also much easier to find, too.

Some updated photos. Still have not found an engine/trans for it, but have been doing a little more work on it.

Had to take the back bumper off to get the tailgate open. Going to need a new one because the skin is separating
