Well, it's been over a year since the transmission went out on my station wagon went out. 6 months ago, we replaced the transmission. Although the transmission was pretty strong, other issues have caused me to once again abandon my car. It was a pain to start and there were problems with a clogged fuel line. We replaced the fuel pump, but it didn't help much. In July, I drove it about 300 miles total before it stalled out again. Now it's awaiting a new starter and possibly fuel lines. Not giving up yet!

Thanks, but I've been here a while. Granted, I only stop by once in a while, but I'm not new to the forum by a long shot! :)

Hi Impala. Great to hear from you. From the pictures, it looks like you upgraded your wheel covers to the deluxe ones. Wow, what a difference. It looks great. I hope you get 'er back on the road. She's too nice to leave in the driveway.

Amen to that! My friend who helped me replace the transmission is planning to come over sometime soon and help me replace the starter. Hopefully the "Beastie" won't have to sit another 6 months before she's running again.

No worries. It's my fault for posting in the same thread as when I first joined.
