I read a few months ago on some other forum that someone had used Gojo to clean the residual flaking off the metal trim. I've got a 95 Buick wagon that has most of the vinyl that covers the metal trim worn off (the rest of the vinyl sides look good), but there's still some hanging on, and it drives me crazy. I wouldn't mind if the trim was just a blond color like it looks now, it's just the curled up stuff I want to get off of there. Any body ever heard of using gojo?

I recently saw a nice Buick wagon down here in NW Florida that looked the same. I sort of liked the light color trim but the pealing clear looked ugly.
I'd try GoJo on a small area as inconspicuous as possible. Have some clear water in a spray bottle handy along with a rag.
It seems to be a good hand cleaner and mild.
I've used WD-40 on many things too. Might give it a try.
Keep in mind these are only suggestions. I've never tried it.
