and bill, i will let you know, because i know it leaks oil, and the hood lever, like the black part of it, needs replaced, right now you need to pull the wire with pliers, those are the problems, it was just inspected so those should be the only problems (hopefully) :yup:

Hey, cap.....I saw your question over in the cheap trick thread. Just WHERE is you car leaking oil. If you don't know...clean it up and watch for the leak. It may just be a sending unit or valve cover gaskets.

a little trick I have found useful for finding any leak is to first clean the living crap out of everything then park the car on a piece of large cardboard and watch for stains on the cardboard. that'll give you a great idea on where to start looking

OK...I'm not trying to be contrary, Bill. Really, I'm not...but, I don't like that method. If the oil leak is, say, at the top of the valve cover or, as happened to me once, at the sending unit that happens to be on top of the engine....the oil will likely travel and come down in a different area. I had a car once that had the leaking oil sending unit on top of the engine and the oil traveled along side the manifold and came down the back of the engine. At first glance you would have sworn that the rear main was leaking.

if i can determine its deffinantly leaking from the bottom and not the top (as SF said) ill deffinantly use this method:yup:

if you would have siad this SF i would have never even thought of it:idea:

once the engine is clean you can then fallow the trail of oil. I had to do this to my eagle a few times to then replace the valve cover gasket (autozone don't like to stock more than 4 of these) it will also help ya find other leaks you never even thought you had :D
