New guy here from the southside of Richmond with my 1984 cavalier wagon..picked it up in hopes of better gas mileage and still be able to haul some stuff, its got the 2.0 OHV engine and a 4 speed manual trans, when I got it it ran like poo and had some neon SRT4 17 inch wheels the guy had painted black, it was hideous, turned out the fuel pump was super weak and i replaced that and got it running good and turned around and just found some wheels for it. Before.. and A vid of how ****ty it ran http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93GyBT_iX6M after I replaced the fuel pump and reset the timing it was like a new car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGlER-i4BnQ after this vid I replaced the IAC valve and it idled much lower like it was suppose to. and then last night I picked up some new wheels and tires.
Sorry to hear you didn't have a good Christmas. But to SWF anyway. You wagon looks sweet, very clean looking. Hope the rest of the Holidays turn around for you.
Welcome to the Nuthouse we call HOME. I have a feeling you will fit in just fine around here! Sorry to hear about your Christmas. With a little luck, this place will help turn things around. You will find that if you join in, you will become part of what really is a family here. We have our eccentrics, our odd men out (me), our Den Mother (Fannie), and even a few crotchety old men (you will figure out who they are. LOL). Oh, yes. And one Grumpier Old Man, but we love him anyway.
Welcome to the forum. I actually don't mind the original wheels, but maybe in a 16" instead of the 17". The 17's just look to big for the car. Either way it needs to be lowered a couple of inches in my opinion.
