Socks and sandals Rev? I'd love to see that...that's as classy as my bath robe and boots outfit.

Hey Ray is that just satin black or plasti-dip spray (the new rage)?

Satin black paint that I shot myself.

The grille and wheels are plasti dip, though.

That stuff is pretty cool, I work with a guy who sprayed his whole Nissan hardbody. Makes unmasking a snap. Painted it in his drive way with minimal masking...looks really good. No shine of course, but that seems to be the new thing as well.

Yeah. I almost did it, but paint ended up being cheaper (it's actually rustoleum. Shhhhhh).

Still gets compliments almost everywhere it goes. When I took it to Turkey Run, I stopped at a gas station asking for directions to the nearest car wash, and I had two guys ask questions about the car for almost 20 minutes. Felt good. :)

Ha ha ha yeah that is a great feeling! I once came out of a local grocery store to find five guys standing around my car. Took me almost an hour to get back home. The first question I got asked was "who chopped the roof?" I said "Plymouth", they were shocked that the roof line was stock, it's a low roof to start with, then I did the dark tint with wrapped B and C pillars. Gives it the one big long window effect.

    Haha best answer ever.

    "Plymouth."

I want to lower my car... just can't afford it. Expensive endeavor. Really I'd be happy with the nose down a couple of inches to tighten up the wheel gap, the rear is fine since I tow with it.

I helped a friend air bag a 93 Caprice wagon, it was quite the endeavor, the bag set up was about $800.00 and we spent about a week getting it all right and working correctly. My car is on hyraulics with accumulators and even it was a bit of a challenge and yes also expensive. I cut my teeth lowering literally hundreds of mini trucks back in the day.

I would say the general concensus on the forum is not lowering anything, but most of the guys can see the "cool" factor involved in a lowered wagon.

Yeah, I'm of the opinion that about any custom can be appreciated as long as the owner is passionate about it. Doesn't matter what it is.

Like the people that get upset about guys that modify one-wheel-from-the-junkyard classics... I say, why? Better that than seeing them turned into appliances.

I totally agree that passion is the absolute best word to decribe what all the car people I know share as a bond. It is what drives you when you're building, and a vision of what could be is being created with your own two hands. The day I bought my wagon for $50.00 bone stock, I saw the car I have today.

I saw my car originally on cusstom.com

Then I met the guy who actually built the car that inspired mine. It was awesome to see it in person. Still dreaming of finding those lightning rod shifters.... lol
